A 3-building apartment complex designed for the non-profit group A Community of Friends, the Vista Nueva Apartments provides rehabilitative housing for families with mental health disabilities. The complex includes a daycare center, and common areas, a subterranean concrete parking garage, and integrated landscape features. The main building has barrel-vaulted roof framing and another has a unique pyramid tower skylight over roof gardens. This project was the winner of the Enterprise Social Investment Corporations’ Golden Nugget Award for the year 2000.
