From Ground Shaking to Groundbreaking

This year T&S Structural celebrates the Big Three-O – not that a Big One is anything new here. Withstanding the forces of nature has been second nature to T&S Structural since its inception the day after the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. The magnitude 6.7 event was the catalyst for founders Steve Taylor and Rye Syfan to create a firm to reflect a new generation of structural engineering dedicated to “build better” to make communities safer.

That commitment to delivering sustainable, resilient solutions in the built environment is as strong as ever. Over the past 30 years, T&S Structural has grown into a 100% employee-owned, award-winning firm with four regional offices throughout northern and southern California and licensed in 34 states and counting. The company’s diverse portfolio of projects reflects thoughtful, innovative design with a “function follows form” philosophy that exemplifies our collaborative approach to structural engineering.

Most of all, we thank YOU. We’re delighted to be celebrating three decades of projects and people that have contributed to our success. We’re continually grateful for the range and depth of our collaborations – with clients, industry partners and communities – and the innovations and cost efficiencies we’ve been able to contribute to your projects. And what projects they are – ranging from commercial, residential, industrial and military sectors to education, healthcare, hospitality and historic preservation efforts.

Throughout 2024, T&S Structural will host a variety of anniversary events and activities to show our appreciation for the communities, clients, partners and employee-owners who have supported our mission to make a difference by building better, safer and more sustainable communities.
