This 11,000 square-foot, mixed-use facility near the foothills of the Sierras utilized sustainable architectural concepts. Vaulted ceilings and exposed custom heavy-timber trusses articulate the alpine style. Green features include recycled plastic roofing tile, low VOC paint, recycled and recyclable carpets, and backing, earth berming as a natural insulation, greater-than-minimum required standards for Title 24 requirements, staining of the concrete floor slab and occupancy sensors, and an EMS system.
