T&S Structural Engineers evaluated the existing structure for the addition of the solar panel shading to the Reno VA parking structure. The existing structure consisted of steel braced frames and moment frames with concrete-filled pan deck. Taking into consideration wind and snow loads, Taylor & Syfan designed new moment frames on the second floor to accommodate the PV array spanning the entire upper-level parking deck.
