T&S Structural Engineers worked with Alma Rosa Winery to transform an existing warehouse space into an upscale wine tasting room to show off their Santa Barbara County wines.

The winery owners wanted the room to be filled with the beautiful natural light of the area, so T&S Structural worked alongside Blackbird Architects to cut two large skylights, allowing the space to be flooded with daylight. This commercial remodel, including a new trellis to enhance the entrance, brings wine country into the town of Buellton, CA. A 10ft×10ft glass and steel partition divides the main front room from the tasting area in the back, allowing openness while also creating intimate spaces, made cozy by wood and natural materials throughout. An old roll-up warehouse door was also replaced with four tall glass pocket doors to bring the outdoors in.
